Career Highlights
Daryl is a registered Professional Environmental Engineer in North Carolina*, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. His experience spans more than 30 years in sustainability and environmental engineering, including 5 years in the pulp and paper industry and as a consultant. He has led efforts to support clients reporting to the CDP, and through the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework, through strategic consulting, report development, and verification. His experience includes sustainability program development, scenario development for Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) goal-setting, and corporate carbon management strategy and greenhouse gas inventory development and verification, carbon foot-printing, and life cycle assessment. Mr. Whitt also has extensive experience in Title V, prevention of significant deterioration (PSD), Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) permitting, implementation and reporting; wastewater treatment design and permitting; and storm water permitting and compliance.

Get to know Daryl
1. Have you ever had a nickname (or two)? If so, what are/were they?
“My other brother Daryl” and any derogatory name classmates could create from my last name.
2. When you were 8 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Either an Architect or Mission Payload Specialist (i.e., astronaut) on the space shuttle
3. What about ALL4 has surprised you the most?
The focus on having fun at what we do.
4. What was the most memorable Halloween costume you ever wore?
My girlfriend (now wife) and I won a costume contest at Clemson as Hansel & Gretel. (The judges were all retired university staff in their 80’s.)
5. Stick shift or automatic?
My first car was a stick, but 45-minute commutes in bumper-to-bumper traffic, in the hills of east Tennessee convinced me to go automatic.
6. Who is the most famous person you have ever met?
I’ve been fortunate to meet several famous and distinguished individuals, but I’ll say Jane Goodall, who was coincidentally giving a talk when I walked into a museum in Colorado, and Franco Harris, who I collided with in the Pittsburgh airport.
7. Do you have any hidden talents that people you meet would not expect?
I’m pretty good at growing orchids.
8. What would you like to become known for at ALL4?
A leader in helping All4 and clients address climate change.
9. If you were stranded on an island, what are three things you couldn’t live without?
A canoe, fishing gear, and a smart phone (with service and a solar charger)
10. What is the one thing that most attracted you to ALL4?
The Culture
