Career Highlights
Xyan joined ALL4 in August 2023 as a Staff Scientist. Throughout his undergraduate and graduate studies, Xyan contributed towards inorganic research and environmental chemistry outreach, which resulted in the MTSU ACS Chemistry Chapter being awarded the 2016 ACS Green Chemistry Student Chapter Award. Alongside teaching, Xyan also contributed towards microplastic awareness and student research projects that sought to count and identify microplastics in the Cahaba River.

Bolo, after the character Bolo from Bruce Lee’s “Enter the Dragon”.
When you were 8 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A “fixer-man” (construction worker or handyman).

How well everybody communicates and works as a team.
What was the most memorable Halloween costume you ever wore?
A creature based off the Landstriders from Jim Henson’s “The Dark Crystal”.
Stick shift or automatic?
Automatic, saves gas.
Who is the most famous person you have ever met?
Ronald Gillespie.
Do you have any hidden talents that people you meet would not expect?
I’d like to think I’m really good at arcade games.
What would you like to become known for at ALL4?
Reliability.
If you were stranded on an island, what are three things you couldn’t live without?
Pizza, board games, and my dog.
