Career Highlights
Ivan first started his career in 2014 as a student intern with the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CAL OSHA). In 2016, Ivan continued his experience as a student intern with the Los Angeles Fire Department under the Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA). Ivan received his bachelor’s degree from the California State University, Fullerton in Health Sciences in 2015. In 2017, he then received his master’s in environmental health science with a focus in Industrial Hygiene from the University of California, Los Angeles. During his graduate studies, he conducted research and completed his thesis on exposure assessments for Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylene (BTEX) during the Underground Storage Tank (UST) removal and maintenance process. In 2017, he joined Amazon as an EHS Specialist where he worked directly with launching new Amazon delivery stations which mainly involved implementing policies and conducting trainings. In addition, he worked directly with the corporate Industrial Hygiene team on multiple globe-based projects such as developing hearing conservation training, implementing occupational health and safety management systems (ISO 45001), and implementing a chemical identification process for hazardous retail products. In January 2022, Ivan shortly worked for a 3rd party logistics (3PL) company as an Assistant Safety Manager where he managed a team of 9 safety supervisors and directly had oversight of 11 facilities. His responsibilities included managing his team to ensure all facilities complied with the company’s safety policies and OSHA’s safety regulations.

When you were 8 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I really wanted to be a soldier as I was fascinated with war movies.
What about ALL4 has surprised you the most?
The amount of support that is reciprocated across the offices. I could always count on other individuals outside of my office
What was the most memorable Halloween costume you ever wore?
A skeleton in 2015. My costume and makeup was “on point”.
Stick shift or automatic?
Depends on the vehicle. Automatic for my daily driver and manual for any sport or American muscle vehicles.
Who is the most famous person you have ever met?
Kobe Bryant
Do you have any hidden talents that people you meet would not expect?
I know how to cook and make some pretty good drinks

If you were stranded on an island, what are three things you couldn’t live without?
Depends how long I would be stranded. Long term I would say a good pair of cutting knives, some pots and pans, and a first-aid kit
What is the one thing that most attracted you to ALL4?
The ability to work across multidisciplinary areas
