Texas – Electronic Modeling Evaluation Workbook (EMEW): What Every Environmental Manager Needs to Know
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) continues to introduce air permitting “tools” to streamline the air permitting process, specifically, air quality modeling submittals. In September of 2018, TCEQ published updated Air Quality Modeling Guidelines and in October of 2018, TCEQ rolled out their Electronic Modeling Evaluation Workbook (EMEW). The purpose of the EMEW is to replace the air quality modeling protocol and Air Quality Analysis (AQA) report required for minor New Source Review (NSR) projects. Submittal of the EMEW will be mandatory for all minor NSR permitting in TX starting June 1, 2019. The EMEW encompasses most aspects of the modeling process and is scheduled for additional updates at the start of the new year. ALL4 has been in constant communication with the modeling group at TCEQ and has utilized the EMEW in minor NSR permitting submittals.
With that backdrop, this webinar addresses four questions:
- What is changing regarding air quality modeling for minor NSR projects in Texas?
- What are the technical aspects of the EMEW?
- How will this affect my projects?
- How can ALL4 help?
