Management Information Systems Technical Manager

Summary

ALL4 is seeking a Technical Manager to join our Management Information Systems (MIS) Tech Team.  This individual would be responsible for serving as a technical expert and manager for a MIS Tech Team with a secondary component of effective project delivery and traditional expansion. The Technical Manager is one of the “go-to” individuals within the company for MIS project execution, implementation, client and prospect communications, and technical advice within MIS services. The MIS Technical Manager is a self-motivated, coachable, growth-oriented individual who uses MIS expertise and experience to aid in the growth of MIS services at ALL4. Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in EHS and Quality MIS.
  • Ability to prepare and execute the high-level technical work individually, with the capacity to direct and teach others to do the same.
  • Acts as the primary technical lead resource to project management and as the technical liaison between junior technical staff and project management staff on large or complex projects.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge that allows for a nuanced understanding of MIS beyond what would be apparent to an entry level employee.
  • Develops solution design based on client requirements and understanding of software functionality and options.
  • Independently implements advanced configuration in MIS solutions; directs and reviews standard configuration completed by team members.
  • Builds solution specific best practices to guide successful software implementation that can be tailored to client specific objectives and requirements. Validates that delivered solutions conform with best practices.
  • Completes traceability matrix to confirm solution is designed to meet client requirements and is working as expected.
  • Develops tools to support 1.) the processing and transformation of content prior to import into an MIS solution and 2.) the Extract Transform Load (ETL) process for moving data from one information system to another.
  • Builds effective teams and enrolls members as necessary. Can communicate all facets of day to day work within the MIS Tech Team to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Educates the company on the obligations and considerations of existing clients and prospects related to MIS.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with regulatory organizations, industry peers and vendor partners.
  • Consistently and reliably meets or exceeds utilization and profit targets.

Effective Project Management:

  • Actively supports development of technical approach and cost assumptions for proposals and scope of work documents to attain project work.
  • Supports definition and implementation of MIS technical project plan(s) and schedule(s) to meet contract requirements.
  • Assumes technical responsibility and maintains routine and timely communication with all internal and external project participants.
  • Ensures project compliance with ALL4 Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Demonstrates a high-level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • May be required to coordinate staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 Qualifications

  • Engineering or applicable science degree and Management Information Systems project experience equivalent to 5 years.
  • Industry recognized advanced configuration skills in one or more MIS platform including at least one of the following: Enablon, Intelex, Cority, Gensuite, or ETQ.
  • Proficiency in information management solutions and related IT tools.
  • Knowledge of MIS partner vendors (i.e., Enablon, Intelex, Cority)
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow proactively.
  • Effective problem resolution and consultative skills combined with the ability to delegate successfully.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong document production skills and technical writing ability.
