Recent Electronic Reporting Updates

Stay up-to-date with the latest changes to the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (U.S. EPA) Compliance and Emissions Data Reporting Interface (CEDRI) and the Electronic Reporting Tool (ERT). The following updates are important to keep in mind as you submit reports.
CEDRI Updates
- 40 CFR Part 63, Subpart NNNN (Surface Coating of Large Appliances): Updated §63.4121(c) Semiannual Compliance Report (v2.03). (May 7, 2025)
- 40 CFR Part 60, Subparts OOOOb/OOOOc (Crude Oil and Natural Gas Facilities): Updated §60.5420b(b) and §60.5420c(b) Annual Report Spreadsheet Template (v1.02). (June 12, 2025)
- 40 CFR Part 60, Subparts EEEE/FFFF (Other Solid Waste Incineration Units):
- 60.2929(a)(1) Notification of Intent to use Substitute Means of Compliance Demonstration.
- 60.2929(b)(3)/§60.3032(b)(3) Representative Performance Test Demonstration.

- 40 CFR Part 63, Subpart NNNNN (Hydrochloric Acid Production): Updated §60.9050(l) Compliance Report (v1.04). (July 16, 2025)
- 40 CFR Part 63, Subpart PPPPP (Engine Test Cells/Stands): Updated §63.9350(a) Compliance Report (v3.02). (July 18, 2025)
ERT Updates
ERTv7, originally released on March 12, 2024, was updated on September 2, 2025.
You can find the updated ERT Version 7 Program Files – September 2, 2025 on U.S. EPA’s official ERT webpage: https://www.epa.gov/electronic-reporting-air-emissions/electronic-reporting-tool-ert
This latest version includes the following revisions:
- Updated code to correctly score test reports that contain only miscellaneous methods
- Updated the Source Classification Codes (SCC) list. (September 2, 2025)
- Fixed “gr/dscf” to “grains/dscf” labeling/correction. (June 23, 2025)
The ERT User Manual v7 September 2025 (pdf) has been updated to reflect these changes.
Be sure to download the latest ERT version and consult the updated manual to promote accurate and compliant reporting!
