During his undergraduate studies, Dylan conducted research at the University of South Carolina, focusing on packed bed fluidization conditions in a 4-step pressure swing adsorption cycle aimed at reducing emissions from coal-fired power plants. Get to know Dylan

What is the one thing that most attracted you to ALL4?

Everyone here functions like one big team, where people genuinely want to help each other succeed.

Have you ever had a nickname (or two)?  If so, what are/were they?

My family has always called me “Dill Pickle,” while in high school, friends and teachers took to calling me “Dernst.” These days, I go by “Dylan,” though a few close friends still stick with “Dilly” or just “D.”

When you were 8 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be Spider-Man. When I was told that wasn’t exactly an option, I decided that I just didn’t want to grow up at all.

What was the most memorable Halloween costume you ever wore?

I dressed up as the Know-It-All kid from The Polar Express all four years of college because, honestly, nothing tops it.

Who is the most famous person you have ever met?

I’d have to go with the entire 2013 Louisville Cardinals team – the NCAA Men’s Basketball National Champions. #L1C4 (unless they’re playing Kentucky).

Do you have any hidden talents that people you meet would not expect?

I’m a menace at floor hockey and a clutch trivia night teammate. Even on an off night, I’ll at least still bring the vibes.

If you were stranded on an island, what are three things you couldn’t live without?

Dr. Pepper, a bucket for making sand castles, and a way to talk to my best friend.
