Career Highlights

Connie is committed to the idea that prosperity does not have to come at the expense of environmental quality. She has focused her career on understanding natural systems and business systems and creating opportunities for regenerative economic activity.  Connie started her career in environmental research first focusing on vegetative reclamation in the Rocky Mountain West with the Soil Conservation Service and then with NOAA monitoring greenhouse gases and the global carbon cycle working under Dr. Pieter Tans – a contributing author of the IPCC reports.  As VP of Business Development with a custom software house focused on creating systems for regulatory agencies Connie helped develop and launch on of the first Sustainability reporting tools on the market based on the GRI reporting framework.  With Verisk Analytics Connie lead a new business unit that successfully developed a first to market Supply Chain Stewardship Solution to help companies maintain market access by creating digital models of their supply chains and identify risks related to compliance, materials and practices across their vendor base.  Most recently prior to joining ALL4 Connie was focused on helping clients quantify their ESG risks, liabilities and opportunities to effectively plan for and successfully adapt to a rapidly changing economy.

An Evening With Connie

Have you ever had a nickname (or two)? If so, what are/were they?

Not exactly a window to my soul but a work friend many years ago called me CPB and it sort of stuck.

When you were 8 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?

An environmental superhero.

What about ALL4 has surprised you the most?

Everyone is SOOOOOO nice.

What was the most memorable Halloween costume you ever wore?

One of my college roommate’s family was in a string band that marched in the Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC every year. They always had very elaborate costumes. One year she managed to get a hold of several costumes from when they all dressed as bees. They were amazing costumes. Several of us wore them that year and we were a swarm. I managed to keep two of them and over the years almost everyone I know has worn one. Each person add their own special accessory which stays with the costume. They are a little ragged now and smell like old beer but they are still in demand.

Stick shift or automatic?

I really miss driving a stick, but I actually don’t even have a car right now. My husband has an SUV and an old beat up pick up truck- both automatics. (admittedly it’s beat up because of me- I was attacked by a parking garage.) I am permitted to drive which ever one is available. I used to be a car person. I used to drive cool cars. I don’t know how this came to be. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Who is the most famous person you have ever met?

James Cotton. Though ‘met’ might be a generous description. I found him and my husband more than halfway through a bottle of Crown Royal apparently having a very interesting conversation that only the two of them could understand. I introduced myself and he responded but I have no idea what he said.

Do you have any hidden talents that people you meet would not expect?

None. Seriously. I can’t even whistle. I can snap.

What would you like to become known for at ALL4?

Being innovative, forward-thinking, effective, and compassionate.

If you were stranded on an island, what are three things you couldn’t live without?

I would say my family but it seems selfish to wish they were stranded too. So I’ll go with music, fire (I can’t eat sushi) and Triscuits.

What is the one thing that most attracted you to ALL4?

Everyone I met seemed very serious about the mission but never about themselves.
