Climate Change

The pace of regulatory and legislative activity related to climate change has increased exponentially.  U.S. EPA continues to move forward aggressively with proposed and final rulemakings that require facilities across the entire national economy to report, obtain permits for, and potentially reduce emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs).  In addition, while previously regulated on the outer fringes of air quality, the GHG Tailoring Rule has integrated GHGs into the primary air permitting considerations and evaluations.

ALL4’s Climate Change services support both the regulatory requirements surrounding GHGs as well as the “green” aspects of GHGs and carbon footprints.  GHGs are considered in the same regulatory context as criteria pollutants and consequently emissions inventories, regulatory interpretations, control technology reviews, etc. are now part of the GHG considerations.  However, industry is not only considering the regulatory requirements of GHGs – there is also the green benefits for a company’s shareholders, customers, employees and the public when a company takes a leadership role by evaluating and publishing climate change impacts and setting goals for climate change action.

ALL4’s regulatory Climate Change services include:

  • Regulatory Analysis and Applicability Determinations.
  • Development of Compliance Strategies and Tools.
  • Development of GHG Monitoring Plans.
  • Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory Tracking Systems.
  • Review or Auditing of Greenhouse Gas Inventories, Monitoring Plans, and Reports.
  • Monitoring of Emerging Climate Change Regulations and Initiatives and Developing Stakeholder Comments.
  • Legislative Analysis.

ALL4’s “green” Climate Change services include:

  • GHG Emission Inventory Development at the company, facility or product line levels using any of the various mandatory or voluntary reporting protocols that are available.
  • Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory Tracking Systems.
  • Review or Auditing of Greenhouse Gas Inventories, Monitoring Plans, and Reports.
  • Monitoring of Emerging Climate Change Regulations and Initiatives and Developing Stakeholder Comments.
  • Legislative Analysis.
  • Solutions for Greenhouse Gas Reductions and/or Energy Efficiency.

The ALL4 difference…

  • ALL4’s vast air quality expertise allows ALL4 to assist clients and prospective clients to understand climate change and navigate this new and rapidly changing regulatory landscape.
  • ALL4’s technical foundation is built on the New Source Review (NSR) Program and underlying National Ambient Air Quality Standards wherein the GHGs are now regulated.  This understanding will be important as clients consider new projects where NSR (including non-attainment NSR and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD)) must be addressed.
  • Planning for the future and recognizing the need for GHG reductions across all industry sectors, ALL4 Principal Bill Straub received his Carbon Reduction Manager (C.R.M.) certification through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
  • ALL4 also partners with various companies including Cycle4ward Inc. to offer solutions for GHG reductions and energy efficiency to our clients.
